Stupor Bowl

Well-you have to admit-last night's game was kinda exciting--especially for a Super Bowl. Being an anybody BUT Boston fan I was a tad disappointed with the outcome. However, it was a little bit too sedate. Even the commercials were toned down. I would have loved to had seen the beer commercial (that was censored and deemed inappropriate by the Fox censors-here's two words I thought I would never expect to see in the same sentence, but I digress) that gave a possible reason for last year's "wardrobe malfunction." Sir Paul looked exceptionally grand in HDTV, though my favorite half time show has still got to be U2 from a few years ago-with Aerosmith trying to get Brittany Spears to sing "down on the muffin" a close second. I have the dubious honor of watching every super bowl. My favorite is still Super Bowl III, where the upstart Jets with Joe Willie White Shoes upset the establishment Baltimore Colts. I made a lotta money during Freshman year at Tabler Quad, Toscanini College at SUNY SUSB. My does that bring back future memories of Tom Wolfe's I Am Charlotte Simmons. These are the daze. Oh well-living on the East Coast makes one groggy getting up and going to work the next day. Starting Monday a little crispy makes the whole week drag, I can hardly wait to do it again next week for the Grammies and then the Oscars next month--but that's another blog in the making.
Happy Fat Tuesday tomorrow.

Mr. Haze:

Yes... disappointing outcome, but a great game, even from the perspective of this Philly fan. And Macca was great, Grecian formula and all. I heard that Condi Rice was upset because this was the first Super Bowl she missed. Maybe you can send her a tape in High-Def... And you could include your own private wardrobe malfunction.

Love the Blog, Sir Purple One.
